so the sun is setting on another adventure for me. In 2 weeks I'll be leaving South Africa - a bit earlier than I originally intended.
I've been offered a position as Director of the AIDS Awareness Foundation Youth Center back in Provo (Turks and Caicos) and I fell in love with the idea. The Center is just on the verge of opening and it will be a safe haven for youth to hang out, do homework or take part in some of the many activities I have planned! I'm so excited to be in charge of this incredible resource right from the beginning. Needless to say there is a lot of work to do to find out what the kids need and want. Once that's done we have to make sure there are funds to do it! It will be an incredible challenge to get everything running and make sure it's a success but I feel as though everything I've done since I left Uni has built up to this. Ever felt like there has been a really natural progression of things?
Anyway, I want to thank everyone who supported me along the way and followed my stories to this point. I'll definitely keep blogging the story of the Center and yes, relax, there will be pictures! While I'm on the topic, feel free to check out my Namibia pics to the right. It was the most incredible trip which was only intended to be a Visa run in the beginning! Not enough can be said for camping underneath the desert stars...
